Dr. Ingeniero Agrónomo por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, ha desarrollado la mayor parte de su actividad docente y de investigación en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, donde es Catedrático de Producción animal en la Escuela de Ingenieros Agrónomos desde 1993. Ha desempeñado en dicha universidad diversos puestos de responsabilidad docente como Director de la Escuela de Agrónomos, Director de Departamento, Director del Instituto de Desarrollo Regional, Vicerrector de Profesorado y Vicerrector de Investigación. Ha sido fundador y es miembro del Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Cinegéticos (IREC). En 2007 recibió el premio de innovación científica Juanelo Turriano de la JCCM. Ha sido fundador y director de las Instalaciones Experimentales de Ciervo Ibérico de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, así como responsable desde hace 25 años del grupo de Investigación “Biología del Ciervo”. En la actualidad es Director Científico de la Empresa de Base Tecnológica de la UCLM Venadogen S.L.

Licenciado en Biología (zoología: U. de Valencia) y doctor por la Universidad de Nottingham (Reino Unido; la 72 en el ranking mundial de universidades). Es profesor de la ETSIA e investigador del IREC, del que ha sido vicedirector desde 2011 hasta 2013. Es vicepresidente de la Federación Europea de Productores de Ciervo (FEDFA: www.fedfa.org), miembro del comité científico del congreso internacional de ciervos más importante (International Deer Biology Congress; el único español y uno de sus tres miembros europeos). Es coautor de más de 60 artículos SCI (+120 puntos de impacto) de las mejores revistas en catorce áreas científicas.
Organizador del EMAD (www.emad.es), European Meeting on Antlers and Deer. En él, científicos aplicados que estudian la cuerna y otras áreas de la biología del ciervo, y los mejores gestores explican como mejorar o introducirse en el negocio de la cría de ciervos en cotos y granjas a empresarios rusos y en general de toda Europa. Se realizará anualmente durante la Feria de Albacete propiciando la promoción de Venadogen.

Veterinario, profesor titular de Universidad del Área de Producción Animal de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Egresado en 1994 por la Universidad de Murcia. Miembro del primer equipo que empezó a realizar estudios en España para el aprovechamiento del ciervo con relevancia internacional. Veterinario responsable de las Instalaciones Experimentales Animales de la UCLM en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Agrónomos desde 1995 hasta la actualidad. Profesor en diversas asignaturas de producción animal y cinegéticas en la UCLM, así como de diversos cursos de especialización y máster de otras universidades y centros de investigación, nacionales y extranjeros.Investigador en aspectos varios, con contribuciones importantes en aspectos productivos, fisiológicos, sanitarios, inmunitarios, reproductivos, endocrinológicos, etológicos, etc., en pequeños rumiantes, domésticos y salvajes. Es especialista en ciervo ibérico. Uno de sus principales intereses es la etología de las especies tanto silvestres como domésticas para llevar a cabo un aprovechamiento sostenible, atendiendo a minimizar el estrés y optimizando la relación entre bienestar animal, producciones animales y rendimientos económicos.

He is founder and member of IREC (Spain’s national game institute). In 2007 he was awarded the prize for scientific innovation Juanelo Turriano from the regional government (JCCM). He is founder and director of the Iberian Deer Experimental Farm of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, as well as the leader in the past 25 years of the research group “Deer Biology”. He is coauthor of more than 60 papers SCI (+120 impact points) of top ranking journals in fourteen scientific areas.
He is organizer of European Meeting on Antlers and Deer (EMAD; www.emad.es). In this meeting, applied scientists that study antlers and other areas of biology of deer, and the best deer managers explain how to improve or start the business of breeding deer in game estates and farms to Russian businessmen, and in general, in all Europe. This will take place every year during the Feria of Albacete, promoting Venadogen.

Veterinarian responsible of the Experimental Deer Farm of the UCLM of the School of Agronomy from 1995 until present. He is lecturer in several subjects of animal science and game management, as well as courses for specialists and masters from other universities and research centres, both national and international.Researcher in a number of areas, with important contributions in animal production, physiology, animal health, reproduction, endocrinology, behaviour, etc. in small ruminants, both from cattle and wild species. However he is a deer specialist. One of his main interests is the ethology of both wild and cattle species to improve a sustainable production, minimizing stress and optimizing the relationship between animal welfare, animal production, and economic benefit.

Андрес Хосе Гарсиа Диас, ветеринар, преподаватель животноводства в Университете Кастильи-ла-Манчи. В 1994 году окончил Университет Мурсии. Один из главных интересов – этология диких животных и крупного рогатого скота для улучшения жизнеспособности животных, минимизируя стресс и оптимизируя соотношение здоровье животного-продукция-экономический эффект.
